Our  2007 event was honored as the Mercedes Benz Club of America’s National Best Public Service Event for the year. We’ll gather again at beautiful Lake Laguna Park in San Luis Obispo on Sunday, July 13, 2008.</div> <bR> <div> We would like this to be another low key, fun Peoples Choice event for all participants - truly a GATHERING OF FRIENDS. If you own any model, any year European or British car or vintage motorcycle, you are most cordially invited to enter and support this very worthy charitable event. "Peoples Choice Balloting" by the entrants will determine awards for the event. All entrants will receive two ballots. Voting will be completed by 12:30 with awards presented at 2:30 PM.</div> <bR> <div> We had an outstanding turnout for last year's event, with well over 140 entries. Many seldom seen historical vehicles were shown. Most of the CA Central Coast European car groups were represented. Cars from the Central Coast Region Porsche Club of America, Sons of Lucas (British Cars), Central Coast Vintage VW, Central Coast Porsche 356 Club, Central Coast Jaguar Club, Central Coast Mercedes Section and many other marques were displayed. We are also extending an invitation to the Vintage Motorcycle enthusiasts to participate. The local Kiwanis De Toloso Club is famous for their catering expertise. The luncheon is a full meal consisting of appetizers, steak, chicken, salad, beans, bread and drinks. The cost is $20 per person. Local Scouts will sell coffee, water and donuts in the morning.</div> <bR> <div> The Charity:    Camp Hapitok opened in 1970 sponsored by the SLO County Office of Education to provide an intensive educational program to elementary age children with communication disabilities. Local teenagers assist the staff and dedicate a month of their summer vacation to be the best friend and teacher to a Hapitok camper. Teenage students from our county work, eat, sleep learn and play with their special campers. The strong bond which forms provides the motivation for the camper to practice and refine communication skills.</div> <bR> <div> We hope that you and your family will join us this year.
